Celebrated actress, Joke Silva, has called for the eradication of all forms of sexual harassment against women in the film industry and the propagation of negative stereotypes.
Mrs Silva, who is the President, Forum of Women in Film and TV, Nigeria, was speaking at the Women in Film and TV Conference, on Wednesday in Lagos.
She also said there is a need for more women in the government to drive policies that would strengthen the stance of women in the country.

Also speaking at the event, Anita Duckworth-Bradshaw, a Certified Life Coach at Powerhouse Global Magazine, encouraged women who had been abused in the industry to speak out in order to help with their healing process.
She added that being healed from past trauma would ensure that the victim had an impactful change in the industry.
