Justice Nwite Steps Aside From Terrorism Financing Trial of Bauchi Commissioner

A Federal High Court in Abuja has returned the case file of Yakubu Adamu, the Bauchi State Commissioner for Finance, to the Chief Judge for reassignment. Justice Emeka Nwite made the order on Tuesday after court activities resumed following the Christmas vacation, noting that he had presided over the matter only as a vacation judge.

Adamu, a former Polaris Bank branch manager, is facing a ten-count charge of terrorism financing and money laundering brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, alongside three others.
