Kaduna police deny mass abduction of worshippers in Kajuru

Police Rescue Kidnap Victim, Arrest Three in Ebonyi Crackdown

The Kaduna State Police Command has denied reports that more than 100 worshippers were abducted from churches in Kajuru Local Government Area of the state. Speaking after a State Security Council meeting at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna, the Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Rabiu, described the reports as false and urged those making the claims to provide names and details of the alleged victims.

The police commissioner warned that the spread of unverified information could undermine the state’s relative peace, adding that security agencies would take action against rumourmongers. He said preliminary checks and investigations by the police found no evidence to support claims that armed gangs kidnapped worshippers during Sunday church services in Kurmin Wali community.
