Kaduna Police Inspector Arrested For Attempted Murder Of Colleague

An Inspector of Police in Kaduna State has been arrested for the attempted murder of his colleague at Kafanchan in Jema’a Local Government Area of the state.

Spokesman for the Command, DSP Muhammed Jalige, said the incident occurred on June 16, at the Police Mobile Force Base of Squadron 62 Kafanchan.

Inspector Moses Paul is accused of using a rope and attempting to strangle his duty partner, one Inspector Simnawa Paul.

DSP Jalige says the victim was rescued by two other police officers who came to his rescue after hearing his cries.

According to the Spokesperson, preliminary inquiries reveal that the primary motive behind the attack was to cart away the victim’s rifle.

He said the remote cause of action will be ascertained at the end of full scale investigation and if found culpable, Inspector Paul will face both disciplinary and legal proceedings.
