Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has shared his thoughts on why many women remain unmarried in their 30s, attributing it to the choices they made earlier in life. In a recent interview, he explained that many women in their 30s spent their 20s dating wealthy, older men while rejecting potential partners their age.
Kanayo suggested that young women, particularly those in university, often form relationships with older, affluent men, which leads to a shift in their expectations. He noted that these women sometimes reject younger suitors because they are already accustomed to a high standard of living, often receiving gifts like cars and houses from their older partners.

According to Kanayo, these early choices shape their future relationships, which is why some women in their 30s find themselves single, having turned down younger, more suitable marriage prospects in favour of older, wealthier men.
