The Kano State Government has launched a new security outfit to strengthen crime prevention and improve public safety across the state. The initiative was unveiled in Kano by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf as part of efforts to support existing security agencies.
State officials said the outfit will focus on intelligence gathering, community patrols and rapid response to security threats.
Members are expected to work alongside the police and other law enforcement bodies.

Authorities believe the move will help address issues such as theft, drug abuse and violent crime. Residents have called for proper training and accountability to ensure the outfit operates within the law.
