Barrister Faskari confirmed that the decision aligns with the state government’s commitment to improving workers’ welfare and addressing economic challenges faced by its workforce.
“We have met several times. We discussed, agreed and disagreed. And finally, today, by the special grace of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, we have reached an agreement, which shortly is going to be signed. And I want to seize this opportunity to express our utter gratitude to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, to express our appreciation to His Excellency, the Governor of Kazimister, Malang Dukong Marufaga, for having joined his colleague in trying to uplift the civil service, which was related to the current economic reality.”

“So, I want to equally seize this opportunity to commend the leadership of the labour unions here present for exhibiting maturity and understanding. And for their honour, perseverance and resilience, we have all been here. And equally from the part of the members of the committee, we have been here agreeing and disagreeing, discussing, trying to strike a balance, not to put so much pressure on the state government and equally not to leave the civil servants to be down, trying to have a delicate balance between the two.”
Labour union leaders commended the administration of Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda for prioritising workers’ needs and ensuring prompt implementation of the new wage policy.
