Actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has criticised members of the City Boy Movement, a group supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing them as “political scavengers”. He made the remarks during an interview monitored by Radio Now’s Newsdesk.
Mr. Okonkwo accused the group of backing the president for personal benefit, alleging they were seeking favour rather than acting in the public interest. He also claimed that their actions do not reflect the views of the wider Igbo community.

The City Boy Movement is a youth-focused support group linked to Tinubu’s political base. Okonkwo said he would not align with such supporters, emphasising what he described as the importance of dignity in political engagement.
