Keyamo To Appeal As Court Awards Atiku, ICPC N10m In Frivolous Lawsuit

Former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Festus Keyamo, says he will appeal the N10 million fine that was awarded against him in a suit he filed seeking the probe of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Also mentioned in the suit is the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

Justice James Omotosho of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja handed the fine to Mr Keyamo on Monday, ordering him to pay N5 million each to both the former VP and the ICPC.

Describing the suit as frivolous, vexatious, and an abuse of court processes, the court ordered the fine be paid at 10 per cent per annum until the cost is finally liquidated.
