Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has announced that the second season of his epic series Anikulapo will premiere on Netflix on January 30. Afolayan confirmed the release date in an Instagram post, describing the new instalment as Anikulapo season two.
The filmmaker had earlier disclosed that the second season was filmed in Ghana in partnership with the country’s National Film Authority. He also revealed new cast members in October 2024, including Okusaga Adeoluwa, Kiekie, Antar Laniyan, Saidi Balogun, Teniola Aladese, Nico Claudio and Oyinbo Ibile.

Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre is a six part series and a sequel to the 2022 film Anikulapo.
