Kunle Tokode called up to Nigeria U-17 national team camp

Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-16 Major League Soccer Academy forward Kunle Tokode has been called up to participate in the Nigeria Football Federation U-17 national team camp from August 25 to September 6 in Abuja, Nigeria. This is according to the MLS Academy. 

The camp is part of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme, TDS, which is led by FIFA Chief of Global Football Development, Arsène Wenger.

The TDS was set up with the aim of helping member associations to fulfil their potential by ensuring that every talented player has a chance to be detected and developed.

Kunle Tokode, who is just 15 years old, first joined the Whitecaps FC BMO Academy System in 2022 after previously playing with Langley United in the BC Soccer Premier League, the highest level of youth development community soccer.
