The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has threatened to mobilise its members on an indefinite nationwide strike if the current price of petrol increases again.
Joe Ajaero, NLC President, issued the warning yesterday at the African Trade Union alliance meeting in Abuja.

Two days ago, oil marketers had hinted that the pump price of petrol would rise to over N700 per litre if the naira continues to depreciate against the dollar, especially at the parallel market.
On several occasions, organised labour has criticised petrol price hikes and called on the federal government to provide palliatives for workers over the removal of fuel subsidy.
