Air quality levels in Lagos have varied sharply, according to new data from the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency.
The latest readings place Eric Moore in Surulere at the top of the pollution scale with an Air Quality Index of 37, categorised as “unhealthy for sensitive groups” — a level that may pose risks to people with respiratory issues, the elderly, and children. General Hospital, Ikeja, and Bariga in Shomolu followed with readings of 22 and 20 respectively.

In contrast, Victoria Island reported the cleanest air, recording an AQI of 9, firmly within the “good” category. Moloney Street and General Hospital, Gbagada, followed closely with readings of 12 and 13.
LASEPA says the figures, released on Sunday, underscore the need for sustained environmental monitoring across the city.
