The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) have resolved to collaborate in order to end open defecation along the Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
This was revealed in a statement by the LASG Commissioner, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab on X on Wednesday, who said the joint media campaign particularly targets the median from OPIC Plaza to Otedola Bridge.
According to him, the initiative aims to enhance public health and environmental sustainability by preventing the spread of cholera and other communicable diseases and restore the aesthetic appeal of the vital corridor, known as a gateway to Lagos.

On his part, the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Environmental Protection Matters, Dr Oluwadare Kehinde commended LASEPA for spearheading the campaign, highlighting the necessity of inter-state collaboration in addressing environmental challenges.
