The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion plan ahead of the 10th edition of the Lagos Women Run, scheduled for Saturday, November 8, from 6 a.m. The 10-kilometre race, organised by the Lagos State Sports Commission, will start at Tafawa Balewa Square and end at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said there will be partial closures along major routes, including Outer Marina, Ahmadu Bello Way, Falomo Bridge, and Awolowo Road. Personnel from LASTMA, the Police, FRSC and Neighbourhood Corps will manage movement and ensure safety.

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes via Bonny Camp, Marina, and Moloney Street. Osiyemi urged residents to exercise patience, assuring that restrictions will be lifted gradually after the race.
