The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has inaugurated a 40-member campaign council to drive its electoral strategy across all 57 local council areas.
Former state party chairman Babatunde Balogun will lead the council, with Razak Ajala as secretary. The team is divided into six key directorates, including mobilisation, finance, security, media, electoral affairs, and special duties.

At the inauguration in Ikeja, State Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi urged members to “hit the ground running” as the July 12 council polls draw near, stressing the importance of grassroots mobilisation.
Former deputy governor Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire and Lagos SSG Abimbola Saliu-Hundeyin were named coordinators for Lagos West, while Abayomi Daramola and Bolanle Olusanya will co-lead efforts in Lagos Central.
The elections, organised by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, LASIEC, are expected to serve as a barometer ahead of the 2027 general elections.
