Gbenga Omotoso, Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, says no one died in the collapse of the seven-storey building under construction on Banana Island, Ikoyi.Â
Giving an update, the Commissioner added that the state government has launched an intensified probe into the collapse following a directive by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Â

He added that twenty-five people were rescued from the site, and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, scanned the building with a high-precision 3-D Laser Imagery System and found no evidence of anyone trapped beneath the rubble.Â
He also stated that a roll call was taken by the site supervisors, and everyone was accounted for.
