The Lagos State Government has warned actress Sarah Martins against carrying out charity cooking activities on public roads, walkways and medians in the state. The warning follows a recent video showing the actress cooking and distributing food on a street in Lagos.
Authorities had earlier apprehended the actress in October 2025 for conducting a similar outreach in the Admiralty area of Lekki Phase One. Officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps said the activity violated laws that prohibit cooking or trading on public roads and sidewalks.
In the video shared on social media, the actress said she returned to the streets because she missed interacting with children there. She added that they prepared food together during the outreach programme.

Reacting to the development, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, said while charitable efforts are commendable, they must comply with environmental and public order regulations. He advised the actress to carry out any outreach through proper channels and approved locations.
