Around 30 members of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday visited the Department of State Security (DSS) office in Magodo following the detention of two of their colleagues.
Honourables Lanre Afinni and Sylvester Ogunkelu, were invited by the DSS on Wednesday for questioning regarding issues related to the state assembly. After six hours in custody, they were released, but neither they nor their colleagues, provided any comments on the matter. Â

The questioning is linked to the removal of former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, who was removed from office on 13 January over allegations of financial misconduct and other issues. Obasa had petitioned the DSS regarding the circumstances of his removal.
