The Lagos government on Monday signed a partnership agreement with CIG Motors Company Limited to acquire 5,000 brand new vehicles for the state’s transportation system.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, said the partnership was facilitated by Ibile Holdings Limited, a state-owned corporation.
Sanwo-Olu said the project is aimed at redefining road transportation in the state and will create jobs and economic opportunities for residents.

The governor also announced plans to introduce carpooling and logistics services, as well as executive chauffeur and rental services, to complement the new transportation system.
