The Lagos State Government has said its planned 132kV electricity transmission line will enhance power supply in the Lekki-Epe and Ajah areas. Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, AbdulHafeez Toriola, made the disclosure during a stakeholders’ engagement at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Ikeja.
Officials said the project aims to end epileptic power supply and support development in the corridor. The Right-of-Way for the transmission line spans from Ajah to Ibeju-Lekki, while a gas pipeline will run from Bonny Camp to Alaro City, Epe. Residents and property owners were assured of adequate compensation, provided they hold valid land titles and approved building plans.

This marks the second engagement with community members, following a meeting on 6th February, 2026, when Commissioner Biodun Ogunleye highlighted Lagos’ commitment to expanding electricity and gas infrastructure. The state government previously announced plans in April, 2025, to generate 6 gigawatts of electricity over three years as part of a clean energy drive.
