Lagos Police Nab Suspected Hoodlums During Christmas Festivities

The Nigeria Police Force has apprehended multiple armed robbers, cultists, and hoodlums targeting fun seekers and engaging in criminal activities during Christmas celebrations across several states.  

In a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, it was revealed that operatives of the Lagos State Command responded to a distress call on 25 December 2024, around 1 a.m. The call reported hoodlums armed with dangerous weapons operating in the Safejo area of Amukoko, Lagos State. The swift response led to the arrest of three suspects: Emmanuel Okoli, Ogunde Tejiri, and Emmanuel Orji.

Similarly, operatives of the Saminaka Division in Kaduna State Command apprehended a suspected kidnapper, Sule Muhammad, at about 8 p.m. on Christmas Day. The suspect, reportedly involved in multiple kidnapping incidents, was found with a fabricated AK-47 rifle during the operation. He confessed to being a member of a notorious gang that had evaded arrest since August 2024, when other gang members were apprehended.  

The police assured the public of their commitment to maintaining safety during the holiday season and urged citizens to report suspicious activities promptly.
