Lagos Red Line rail begins free test operations Wednesday

The Lagos Mass Transit Red Line Rail will begin partial operations on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Making the announcement in a statement on Tuesday, the spokesperson for the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA, Kolawole Ojelabi, said the trains will convey passengers for free and run four trips a day between Oyingbo and Agbado.

The Red Line, according to LAMATA, is one of the six rail lines and one monorail prescribed for the state in her Strategic Transport Master Plan.
