Lagos signs MoU with Chinese firm to construct green line rail

The Lagos State government has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Finance Incorporated and China Harbour Engineering Company to construct the green line rail in the state.

Making the announcement on Thursday, Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the green line will carry over 500,000 passengers daily, with those numbers expected to rise as demand grows.

The green line is a 68 km rail line which will run from the Lekki Free Zone, and connect with the blue line at Marina.
