The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will launch Continuous Voter Registration across all 20 local government offices in Lagos from 18 August 2025.
Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor Salami Ayobami, told stakeholders the exercise will start with online pre-registration, followed by biometric capture from 25 August. Registration runs until 30 August 2026, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with those in the queue by closing time attended to.

Eligible applicants include citizens aged 18 and above, voters seeking replacement of lost or damaged cards, and those transferring polling locations or updating personal details.
Professor Ayobami warned that underage and multiple registrations are prohibited, stressing that violators will be handed to law enforcement.
The process, he added, is aimed at improving voter access ahead of future elections.
