Lagos To Build Food Hubs In Ajah, Agege, Abule Ado

The Lagos State Government, yesterday, revealed plans to build fresh food hubs in three different areas namely Ajah, Agege, and Abule Ado.

In a statement, the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said Lagos is eager to unlock its potential even as it secures its food chain.

Sanwo-Olu said the newly unveiled fresh food hub in Mushin spanning 6400 square metres is equipped with ample parking and storage to support farmers in Lagos and combat post-harvest losses.

According to the governor, this approach to food distribution will revolutionise the way his administration addresses inflation and tracks produce in Lagos.

Sanwo-Olu added that it will also help Lagos to maximise its comparative advantage as a market state, thereby, reducing the stumbling blocks affecting food security-market information, intermediary integration and contractual certainty.
