Lagos State is set to unveil a new waterfront experience ahead of the festive “Detty December” season, officials announced.
In a statement on Sunday, the state Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Mr Dayo Alebiosu, announced upgrades that will include rehabilitated jetties, new concrete pontoons, and the redevelopment of neglected waterfront areas to enhance tourism and leisure activities.
The state government plans a boardwalk along Wole Olateju waterfront and is redesigning the Bariga jetty into a modern fish market to encourage trade, recreation, and water transport.
