The Lagos State Government has unveiled plans to redesign the Oshodi Transport Interchange (OTI) to integrate it with the Red and Blue Line rail systems, advancing its Rail Mass Transit project.
In a statement shared on its official X account on Saturday, the state’s Ministry of Transportation highlighted the need to optimise the interchange’s design and operations to enhance efficiency and align with global transport standards.

The initiative aims to create seamless connectivity between Lagos’ two key rail networks, improving commuter experience and streamlining urban mobility.
To begin the process, the Commissioner for Transportation, Seun Osiyemi, met with stakeholders to assess the interchange’s current condition and discuss strategies for its upgrade. The redesign is part of the state government’s broader efforts to modernise public transport infrastructure and support sustainable urban development.
