LAUTECH Clinical Lecturers Embark on Indefinite Strike Over Unpaid Salaries

Clinical lecturers at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, have downed tools indefinitely in protest over the non-payment of their salaries under the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria, LAUTECH chapter, confirmed the strike action, citing the authorities’ failure to meet their demands. The statement, signed by the association’s chairman, Dr. Ruth Ilori, and secretary, Dr. Abraham Akinbola, revealed that the decision followed the expiration of a 21-day ultimatum issued to the university management.
