Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has raised concerns over a weakening commitment to ethical principles within the legal profession and wider society.
Speaking in Abuja on Wednesday at the inaugural Body of Benchers’ annual lecture and the launch of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee’s report, she stressed the urgent need for legal practitioners to uphold ethics, discipline, and professional responsibility.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, also addressing the gathering, urged the judiciary to remain resolute in the face of external pressures, warning against any attempt to manipulate justice for personal or political interests.
