Leadership Must Be Institutional, Not Personal, Says Boss Mustapha

A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has urged leaders to adopt leadership attributes that are cumulative, institutional and consistent, rather than driven by personal visibility. He said effective leadership requires attention to duty and a willingness to carry responsibility without seeking public acclaim.

Mr. Mustapha spoke in Abuja at the presentation of the book ‘The Woman I Know’, a biography of the former Secretary of the Federal Judicial Service Commission, Bilkisu Abdulmalik Bashir. He said the book highlights humility that coexists with authority, expressed through accessibility, listening and engagement, without weakening decision-making.
