Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that Tino Livramento will be out for around eight weeks after suffering an injury in Sunday’s defeat to Arsenal. The 22-year-old full-back, who previously endured an ACL problem at Southampton, was stretchered off during the game, sparking fears of a lengthy lay-off. A specialist assessment later eased concerns, ruling out major damage.
Livramento, Newcastle’s most-used player this season, will miss England’s fixtures against Wales and Latvia. Howe admitted his absence is a setback but said the diagnosis is more positive than first feared.

The club will also be without new £55 million signing Yoane Wissa for longer than anticipated. The DR Congo forward, recovering from a knee injury picked up before his move from Brentford, is now expected to be sidelined for eight weeks. Newcastle face Nottingham Forest this weekend.
