Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has been sworn in as President of Brazil for the third time.
Lula defeated incumbent, Jair Bolsonaro, in a run-off election late last year.
The inauguration was occasioned by tight security amid fears that Bolsonaro supporters would try to disrupt the ceremony.
Former President Bolsonaro who left Brazil last Friday, ultimately did not attend the event.
