West Bromwich Albion secured a commanding 3-1 triumph over Preston North End in their Championship encounter at The Hawthorns on Wednesday, January 1st, with Nigerian international Josh Maja delivering a first-half masterclass.
The Super Eagles striker ended his eight-game goal drought in style, slotting home in the 18th minute after a defensive lapse by Preston, capitalising on a precise delivery from Mikey Johnson. It marked Maja’s first goal since November 23, when he found the net against Norwich City.
