Former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has alleged that the National Security Adviser, NSA, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, is positioning himself for a presidential bid in 2031 and is orchestrating efforts to undermine his reputation.
In an interview monitored by Radio Now’s Newsdesk, Mallam El-Rufai claimed that the NSA, in collaboration with incumbent Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, is engaged in a scheme to tarnish his image.

The former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory suggested that the NSA is determined to sideline political figures from northern Nigeria whom he perceives as obstacles to his future ambitions.
Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, a former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, previously contested the presidency in 2011 as the candidate of the now-defunct Action Congress of Nigeria.
