Manchester City have received a boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Real Madrid after striker Erling Haaland returned to training with his teammates.
Haaland missed City’s FA Cup victory over Newcastle United at the weekend after being rested by manager Pep Guardiola, who said the striker needed time to recover ahead of a busy schedule.
The Norwegian forward is now expected to feature in Wednesday’s Champions League match after taking part in full training. However, defenders Josko Gvardiol and midfielder Mateo Kovacic were absent from the session.
