Manchester City came from a goal down to defeat Newcastle United 3-1 in their FA Cup fifth-round match at St James Park. The victory secured City a place in the quarter finals of the competition.
Newcastle took the lead in the eighteenth minute when Harvey Barnes finished from close range after receiving a pass from Sandro Tonali. The home side created more chances but failed to extend their advantage.
City equalised before half-time through Savinho. Omar Marmoush then scored twice in the second half to give the visitors a comfortable victory and complete the comeback.

Chelsea and Arsenal also booked their places in the quarter-finals. Chelsea defeated ten-man Wrexham 4-2 after extra time, while Arsenal secured a 2-1 win over Mansfield.
