Manchester City defeated Crystal Palace 3-0 at Selhurst Park on Sunday, moving within two points of Premier League leaders Arsenal. Norwegian striker Erling Haaland scored twice and Phil Foden added a goal, helping City reinforce their title ambitions.
City faced early pressure from Palace, but Haaland opened the scoring just before half-time with a header from Matheus Nunes’ cross. Foden doubled the lead in the second half after a run by Rayan Cherki, and Haaland converted a late penalty following a challenge on Savinho.
Arsenal maintained their lead on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Wolves, but City’s victory has increased pressure on the leaders.
