Manchester United have sent scouts to Chile to monitor Nigeria’s teenage goalkeeper, Ebenezer Harcourt, who has emerged as one of the brightest talents in African football. At just 15, the Sporting Lagos prospect is expected to feature for Nigeria at the FIFA U20 World Cup starting this weekend.
Harcourt first drew attention with his commanding displays at the CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where he produced three clean sheets and saved two penalties in a decisive match against Senegal, helping Nigeria to secure a bronze medal.

His rapid rise has attracted interest from clubs across Europe, with scouts from France, Belgium and Germany closely following his progress. Manchester United are now stepping up their pursuit, while Saudi Pro League sides have also made enquiries. His handlers, however, insist his long-term development remains the priority.
