Mavin Records Executives Recognised on Billboard’s 2026 Industry List

Two Nigerian music executives, Don Jazzy and Tega Oghenejobo, have been named on Billboard’s 2026 global power players list for their influence on the international music industry. The annual ranking highlights the top executives shaping artist development, distribution, and live music worldwide.

Don Jazzy, founder of Mavin Records, has promoted Nigerian talent on the global stage since 2012. His label has launched successful acts including Rema, Ayra Starr, Johnny Drille, Crayon, and Ladipoe. Rema’s hit single “Calm Down,” featuring Selena Gomez, went platinum in the United Kingdom and became India’s second-longest-charting number one African song.

The track also set a record in the United States as Billboard’s longest-charting Afrobeats song, spending 52 weeks on the chart. Earlier, Mavin Records helped shape the careers of Tiwa Savage, Dr SID, Reekado Banks, and Korede Bello.
