Hollywood actor Mel Gibson and his partner, Rosalind Ross, have confirmed they have ended their relationship after nine years together. The separation was confirmed in a statement from Gibson’s legal team.
The couple said their relationship ended nearly a year ago but they chose to keep the matter private. In a joint statement, they described the decision as a sad one and said they are focused on co-parenting their eight-year-old son, Lars.
Mel Gibson, who is 69, and Rosalind Ross, who is 35, began dating in 2014. They share one son but were never formally married. Ross is a screenwriter, director and former equestrian vaulter.

Gibson was previously married to Robyn Moore from 1980 to 2011, and they have seven children together. He also has a daughter with his former partner, Oksana Grigorieva, and is best known for roles in Lethal Weapon and Mad Max film series.
