Military Air Strikes Destroy Illegal Oil Refining Sites In Niger Delta

Fighter aircraft of the Nigerian Air Force yesterday destroyed illegal oil refinery and distribution sites operated by oil criminals in the Niger Delta.

NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet says the aircraft simultaneously decimated several criminal elements operating in various other parts of the country.

According to the Air Commodore, the nefarious activities of the oil thieves has caused serious environmental degradation in the region and affected the oil output of the nation.

He also disclosed that on the same day, air strikes were targeted at a well-known camp of the proscribed separatist group IPOB in Orsumoghu in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.
