The Nigerian Armed Forces say they have recovered stolen petroleum products valued at over ₦291 million during week-long operations targeting oil theft in the Niger Delta.
Defence Media Operations Director, Markus Kangye, told journalists in Abuja that troops under Operation Delta Safe intensified raids from 10–17 July, seizing over 200,000 litres of crude oil and dismantling dozens of illegal refining sites and equipment.

Forty-two suspects were arrested, while additional arms and ammunition were recovered in coordinated strikes across Bayelsa and Rivers States.
In a separate operation, a notorious cult leader was apprehended alongside 13 others for alleged involvement in kidnapping and violent crime.
Meanwhile, in the North East, Operation Hadin Kai launched ground and air offensives on Boko Haram and ISWAP strongholds in Borno and Yobe States, killing several insurgents and disrupting terrorist infrastructure.
