Ten people have been confirmed dead in a tragic accident in Okete village, Okpikwu Oglewu, located in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State. The incident occurred on Wednesday when a mining truck collided with a bus carrying six occupants before crashing into a residential building, killing a family of four.
Community leader Ekah Bernard confirmed the death toll, adding that other victims are currently receiving treatment at St Daniel Hospital in Otukpo. The accident has left the local community, situated along the Otukpo-Loko Oweto Abuja Road, in deep mourning.

The crash not only claimed lives but also caused significant damage, with several houses and businesses destroyed. The incident has left the village grappling with the aftermath of the devastating accident.
