Mohammed Babangida, son of former military president Ibrahim Babangida, has formally accepted his appointment as Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture.
His appointment, confirmed by President Bola Tinubu on July 18, had been the subject of conflicting reports, with some outlets claiming he had rejected the role.
In a statement issued Monday, Mr. Babangida dismissed the reports as false and malicious, describing them as attempts to mislead the public and undermine the credibility of the Tinubu administration.
