William Troost-Ekong has said that Ahmed Musa remains the captain of the Super Eagles, despite not being called up for international duty since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Recently, the 31-year old Ahmed Musa rejoined Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League, marking his third stint with the club. Last weekend, he made an impact by scoring twice in their 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars.

The winger has also clarified that he has not retired from international football, leaving the door open for a potential return to the national team.
