The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has arrested 90 foreign nationals in Rivers State over their alleged involvement in cybercrime activities. The arrests were made in collaboration with other security agencies, following an intelligence report that led officers to the suspects’ hideouts.

According to Y.I. Abdulmajeed, the state’s NIS comptroller, the group included 85 Cameroonians, five Chadians, and four Nigerians. Of the 90, 74 were males, and 20 were females. Abdulmajeed also revealed that the suspects entered Nigeria through unauthorised points, without travel documents or residence cards.
