The naira closed largely unchanged at the official foreign exchange market on Thursday, despite growing concerns over a possible rise in petrol prices.
At the close of trading, the dollar was quoted at N1,530.62, marginally higher than N1,530.52 recorded on Wednesday, according to figures from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Currency dealers reported the highest rate at N1,545, unchanged from the previous day, while the lowest trade stood at N1,526.17, marking a decline from N1,500 recorded on Wednesday.
Concerns over fuel prices have been driven by fresh US sanctions on Iran, a key oil producer, imposed under President Donald Trump’s policy framework.
