Musician Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, has addressed the public following a court ruling that exonerated him and others from involvement in the death of fellow artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
In a statement shared on X, he said he had reconciled with Mohbad before the singer’s untimely death, despite previous disagreements. He also expressed frustration over the delayed burial and shifting narratives surrounding the case.

A Yaba Magistrate Court ruled on Tuesday that there was no case against Marley, his associate Sam Larry, or Prime Boy. However, an auxiliary nurse who administered an injection to Mohbad, along with his friend Ayobami, will face prosecution for reckless and negligent conduct.
Naira Marley has faced intense public scrutiny since Mohbad’s passing, with many linking him to the incident despite his repeated denials. The latest ruling appears to bring some legal clarity, though public sentiment remains divided.
