The naira slipped to N1,474 per dollar on the parallel market yesterday, down from N1,465 recorded on Monday. However, the currency strengthened in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market, appreciating to N1,441 per dollar.
Fresh data from the Central Bank of Nigeria shows the official rate improved from N1,452 to N1,441, marking an N11 gain.

The divergence has widened the gap between both markets, with a N33 difference now recorded, up sharply from N13 on Monday. Authorities continue to monitor pressure on the currency across trading windows.
